THERMASHIELD ® Intumescent & Ablative Coating
Avtec's Thermashield® is a solvent based intumescent mastic coating intended for static applications. It forms a rigid protective coating that will withstand multiple high impact shocks, and will not flake, peel, dust or chip. It was engineered to protect a wide variety of substrates when exposed to abrasive jet fire, high heat fluxes, high thermal pressure gradiants and pool fires. During exposure, Thermashield® increases the thermal resistance of a protected surface by forming an insulative cement structural layer. Thermashield® is resistant to UV, water, sea spray and most chemical attack.
